NHS Student Named Ben Carson Scholarship Winner

A Message from The Carson Scholars Fund:

Every year, the Carson Scholars Fund receives applications from bright, talented, and dedicated students throughout the nation. Applicants are nominated by their school based on their high academic achievement and commitment to their communities. Each year, we are continually impressed by the quality of applications we receive. The 2017 class of Carson Scholars standout even more. Their compassion for others, dedication to making a difference, and vision for the future is inspiring. Exhibiting self-reflection and perseverance, these scholars represent our future leaders.

The Carson Scholars Fund is excited to announce that 483 of the best and brightest academic superstars from across the country have been named Carson Scholars. With this honor, these students will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and recognition package.

Congratulations, Brandon Acosta!

Neshannock Township School District is beyond pleased — yet not surprised — to have a Lancer chosen as a 2017 Ben Carson Scholarship winner!  Congratulations to NHS junior, Brandon Acosta, on receiving this well-deserved, prestigious honor.  Brandon is the son of Dr. Elbert and Beth Acosta.  Brandon will be attending the regional awards banquet on April 7, 2017 in the East Club Lounge of Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.
