Father Daughter Dance

On the evening of Thursday, January 11th, the red carpet was rolled out for over 200 young ladies and their guests of honor — fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and special guests — for the 2nd Annual PTO Father Daughter Dance.  This event does not serve as a fundraiser for PTO, but rather as an effort to fulfill its mission in supplying additional moments and experiences for the students and teachers of Neshannock Memorial Elementary School.

Several areas of the elementary school were creatively transformed into a vintage carnival for the special event.  Not a single detailed was overlooked, which is no surprise since the PTO began planning for the event back in September under the guidance of event coordinator and PTO Secretary, Mrs. Joslynn Tatterson!  Mrs. Tatterson cited numerous volunteers — too many to name — as the reason for the event going so smoothly.  Mrs. Sara Wilson spearheaded the food committee, which served carnival favorites such as, popcorn, cotton candy, and cake pops!  Mrs. Rochelle Paglia and Mrs. Erin McBride spearheaded the craft committee, which allowed the girls and their special guests to create one-of-a-kind, personalized keepsake charm wraps.  Mrs. Holly Ligoure had the girls feeling like celebrities as she captured the moments with her camera all night, too!

Many girls danced the night away with their friends and special guests as DJ Greg Marshall played their favorite songs, while others made their rounds with the carnival games!  A magician, Magic Man TJ Hill, was also on hand to entertain and dazzle all in attendance!  There was definitely a little something for everyone!

Many thanks to the PTO Officers — President Mrs. Wendy Hutchison, Vice-President Mrs. Ginger Ponziani, Secretary Mrs. Joslynn Tatterson, and Treasurer Mrs. Tamara Covelli — and countless PTO volunteers for hosting such a memorable occasion for our students and families.  We have no doubt that this highly anticipated event will continue to grow year after year!
