The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV hosted this year’s Extreme Leadership Program.  The event brought together a team comprised of student pairs from each member school district.  Neshannock was represented by Senior Hannah Lash and Junior Angelo Arnold.  The theme of this year’s program was “Extreme Leadership and Positive Schooling.”

Participant goals included examining aspects of themselves to identify strengths, values, talents, and interests, exploring the science of positive psychology, and engaging in discussions and projects that stimulate the use of individual and team strengths, talents, and interests.  The students were also tasked with completing a cumulative project that involved identifying and producing a promotional message that highlighted a course, program or person within their school district that exemplifies the tenets of positive psychology.

Hannah and Angelo chose to produce a video highlighting Neshannock High School’s “G.R.I.T.” initiative.  Be sure to check out their Extreme Leadership Video.

Congratulations to Hannah and Angelo for demonstrating G.R.I.T. — Guts, Resilience, Initiative, and Tenacity — and representing Neshannock well.
