Elementary PSSA Testing Schedule

Neshannock Memorial Elementary Students in Grades 3-6 will be taking the PSSA — Pennsylvania System of School Assessment — this April.  Every Pennsylvania student in Grades 3-6 is assessed in English Language Arts and Math.  Every Pennsylvania student in Grade 4 is assessed in science.  In order to accommodate all students — cyber and in-person — and meet social distancing and small group assessment needs, our students in Grades 3-6 will operate on a temporary hybrid schedule from April 19 until April 27.

Students in Grades K-2 are not impacted by the PSSAs and will continue to follow their regular schedule by reporting to the building daily.

Students in Grades 3-6 will report to the building on their testing days, and students will report virtually on non-testing days.  Students will resume their regular schedule on Wednesday, April 28.  Teachers of full-time cyber students will be directly communicating testing plans to those students and their parents.  Please see the image below for specific details on the temporary hybrid schedule.

On virtual days (non-PSSA testing days), students will report to their Google Classroom Extensions for assignments, instructions, and live instruction.  Special subject teachers will also post a lesson on their assigned day (Monday – Art, Tuesday – Computers, Wednesday – Music, and Thursday – Library).  Please see the image below for live session times and complete details:

Please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher, learning support teacher, Title 1 instructor, and/or speech therapist with any questions regarding assignments or live sessions.
