Neshannock Township School District encourages all eligible students to participate in the PSSA.  Aggregate test data will assist District personnel in assessing the content of our curriculum, and the individual student data will enable parents and the school to better plan to meet the individual curricular needs of each student.

If parents do not want their child to participate in the PSSA due to religious beliefs, they may excuse their child from the assessment.  However, parents are required to review the actual PSSA materials prior to signing a religious exemption letter for their child.  The materials will be available for review in the high school and elementary offices by appointment only.  Parents who choose to exempt their child from the assessment must notify the school principal no later than one week prior to the start date of each testing window.  Please telephone the high school office at 724-658-5513 or the elementary office at 724-652-8709, if you wish to make an appointment to review the PSSA materials for your child’s grade level.
