Football Conditioning on Hold

The Neshannock Township School District has been informed that a member of the varsity football team has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.  Administration was promptly notified on July 27th by the Head Varsity Football Coach of this result.

The player alerted the coaching staff that he was experiencing symptoms, voluntarily submitted to testing, and immediately notified the coaching staff of his positive test result.  The District has since referred the player, members of the team and their families to the current CDC guidelines which recommend self-quarantining for 14 days after any type of exposure to the virus.  The player was last on campus July 23rd.  Team conditioning has been cancelled until further notice.

The District will continue to require our students and staff to abide by the COVID-19-related policies for the health and safety of all students and staff, and expect these requirements to be implemented indefinitely.   If PA Department of Education and CDC recommendations change, we will adapt our policies to comply with those guidelines.
