NESHANNOCK HOMECOMING WEEKEND

Neshannock  vs. Freedom • Bob Bleggi Stadium

Please join us for the annual Homecoming Parade and Football Game!

A parade from the front of Neshannock High School to the Bob Bleggi Football Stadium will begin at 6:15pm. The parade will include all Homecoming Attendants, Queen Candidates, Flower Girl, Crown Bearer, Lancer Marching Band, Auxiliary, Lancerettes, Majorettes, and Cheerleaders!

The Homecoming Ceremony will take place during halftime of the football game. The queen will be crowned by Student Government President, Grace Beal. Joining Grace will be flower girl, Anna Measel, daughter of Greg and Alicia Measel, and crown bearer, MJ Peluso, son of Michael and Stephanie Peluso.

NHS Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are then invited to attend the 2019 Homecoming Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 12th, 7:00pm – 10:30pm, at Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.  It is sure to be a weekend to remember for our students.

Senior Queen Candidates

Megan Heath, Ellina DeLillo, Margo Silverman, Antonia Canciello, and Hayley Micco

Antonia Canciello

Antonia is the daughter of James and Leigh-Ann Canciello. She is a member of National Honor Society, Ski Club, the Layups for Lucy Committee, and Future Business Leaders of America. Antonia serves as the FBLA Chapter and Region 2 Secretary. In addition to participating in the varsity soccer team and varsity track and field team, Antonia is the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and a midget cheerleading coach. She is a lifeguard for Pearson Park Pool and a competitive dancer for Jennifer Leigh’s Dance Gallery. Antonia was named Lawrence County’s 2020 Distinguished Young Woman First Runner-Up.  As a DYW participant, she was also the recipient of the Fitness Award and Eric A. Butch Memorial Scholarship. Antonia’s future plans include attending the University of Pittsburgh where she plans to pursue a degree in pharmacy. Her escort is Preston Turk, son of Brad and Amy Turk. Kenny Carter is providing a convertible for Antonia.

Ellina DeLillo

Ellina is the daughter of Jason and Lori DeLillo. She is a member of National Honor Society, Rotary Interact Club, Mock Trial, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America, the Layups for Lucy Committee, Peer Leadership, and AAU Basketball. Ellina was a participant in Lawrence County’s Distinguished Young Woman Competition. She also serves as a student coordinator for Operation Shoe Box for deployed troops. Ellina is a letterman in varsity basketball, soccer, track, and softball. She is the captain of the soccer team. Ellina was point guard to the 2019 AAA WPIAL Champion Basketball Team and was named All-Section. Ellina’s future plans include attending a four-year college or university where she plans to study pre-law, as well as serve in the U.S. Air Force as a JAG Officer. Her escort is Liam McGann, son of Carleen and Dr. Robert McGann. Attorney Joe George is providing Ellina’s convertible.

Megan Heath

Megan is the daughter of Rob and Alisa Heath. She is a member of National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. Megan is student government secretary, teacher assistant, Gray 1-2-1 Mentor, and Layups for Lucy Committee member. She is captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, as well as an elementary cheer coach. Megan’s future plans include attending a four-year college or university to pursue a career as a physician assistant. Her escort is Nick Viggiano, son of Michael and Lynn Viggiano. Jim and Kathy Carna are providing a convertible for Megan.

Hayley Micco

Hayley is the daughter of Patrick and Lisa Micco. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and Spanish Club. She is also a member of the Center Stage Academy of Dance competition team, teacher assistant, Club Pet volunteer, and model with Barbizon Modeling Agency. Hayley participated in Lawrence County’s Distinguished Young Woman Competition and was named the winner of the interview category. Her future plans include attending Kent State University where she plans to major in business and finance. Hayley’s escort is Ryan Rich, son of Jeffrey and Lisa Rich. Anthony and Patrice Kocis are providing a convertible for Hayley.

Margo Silverman

Margo is the daughter of Randy and Renee Silverman. In addition to being the Chapter President of Future Business Leaders of America, she is a member of Spanish Club and Ski Club. Margo volunteers for both Layups for Lucy and Buddy-Up tennis. Margo is a WPIAL qualifier and captain for the varsity tennis team. Margo participated in Lawrence County’s Distinguished Young Woman Competition and was named the winner of the self-expression category. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university. Margo’s escort is Nico Johnson, son of Dave and Melissa Johnson. Ben and Briana Huffman are providing a convertible for Margo.

Zoë Vitale, Elena Quinn, and Cristina Memo

Cristina Memo

Cristina is the daughter of Mike and Nicole Memo. She is a member of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Spanish Club, and the Layups for Lucy Committee. Cristina is a member of the varsity cheerleading squad and varsity tennis team. She also coaches the fourth grade cheerleading squad. Cristina’s future plans include attending a four-year college or university where she hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. Her escort is Johnpaul Mozzocio, son of John and Jenna Mozzocio. Beaver County Auto is providing a convertible for Cristina.

Elena Quinn

Elena is the daughter of Chad and Denise Quinn. She is a member of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Peer Leadership, Extreme Leadership, and the Layups for Lucy Committee. Elena is a varsity cheerleader, elementary cheer coach, and competitive dancer with Jennifer Leigh’s Dance Gallery. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university. Elena’s escort is Liam Kosior, son of Jon and Wendy Kosior. Attorney Matt Donnelly is providing a convertible for Elena.

Zoë Vitale

Zoë is the daughter of Stephen and Nicole Vitale. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and the Layups for Lucy Committee. Zoë also serves the Rustic Pathways Foundation where she traveled to Costa Rica as a youth volunteer. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university. Zoë’s escort is Patrick Copple, son of PJ and Tara Copple. Kim Aven is providing a convertible for Zoë.


Sophomore Homecoming Court Attendants

Gina Janiel, Skylar Vansovich, and Neleh Nogay

Gina Janiel

Gina is the daughter of Scott and Shelley Janiel. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and the Layups for Lucy Committee. In addition to being a Level 9 Gymnast with Off Limits Gymnastics, Gina is a track and field letterman who qualified for the WPIAL Championship Meet. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university where she hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. Her escort is Sebastian Coiro, son of Joseph and Cathy Coiro. Mark Fulena is providing a convertible for Gina.

Neleh Nogay

Neleh is the daughter of Mr. Donald and Dr. Johanna Nogay. She is a member of Peer Leadership and Future Business Leaders of America. Neleh is a varsity letterman for the 2019 WPIAL Champion Basketball team, as well as the softball team and track and field team. She was All-Section in Basketball and Softball competing at both the WPIAL and PIAA Track and Field Championship Meets. In addition to competing as a Lancer, Neleh plays travel softball for the Ohio Outlaws Organization. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university where she hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. Her escort is Sam Bessell, son of Sam and Marcy Bessell. Don Nogay is providing a convertible for Neleh.

Skylar Vansovich

Skylar is the daughter of John and Brianna Vansovich and Erika and Mike Jevcak. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and the Layups for Lucy Committee. Skylar is both a varsity cheerleader and an all-star competitive cheerleader for Natalie’s Cheer and Tumble. Her future plans include attending a four-year college or university where she hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. Skylar’s escort is Michael Sopko, son of Mike Sopko and Dr. Kelly Palumbo-Sopko. T.R. and Stephanie Russo are providing a convertible for Skylar.
